Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are One
and the Same
By Arjan D. Bharwani
59. THE UNITY STRESSED
The Supreme Godhead is 'ONLY ONE'.
This Divine Principle pervades the entire creation as its
substratum. The world of objects, beings, and the phenomena,
related to them are a superimposition on this 'Basic Reality'. In
the Vedanta, this delusion is termed as MAYA. One who peruses 'Adhyatmic
Vidya (spiritual knowledge)' as per the prescribed methodology,
can gain the 'AtmaBodha (Knowledge of the Self - The Reality)'.
In this booklet, at several places,
we have quoted Sri Sathya Sai's words of His being the 'Sarvadevathaswarup',
which confirm the Oneness of all incarnations The Principle being
the same. Here are Shirdi Sai's words which reproduce exactly the
same theme. "I am Fakir Bua", "I am Bandra Maulana" "I am Akkalkot
Maharaj", "I am Mahalakshmi", "I am He who is in Pandharipur", "I
am the person who taught Uddhava as mentioned in the Xl Skanda of
the Bhagavatha", "What does it matter if you visualise this Sai or
Lakshminarayana in your Dhyana? Both are same". "I arn Ganapathi.
Mother, the offerings you placed before Ganapathi reached Me". "I
am Dattatreya, I heard the prayers that came out of your heart at
Gangapur."
In His very young days, Sathya, was
affectionately nicknamed as the 'Brahmin child'. Little did those,
who had so named Him, realise that they were coining concretely
the continuity of the two Sais. This becomes clear, when we remind
ourselves of what Sri Sainath had decleared at Shirdi. "This
Brahmin can bring lakhs of men on the White Path and take them to
their destination".
