Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are One
and the Same
By Arjan D. Bharwani
51. 'PROPERTlES'-CARRIED FORWARD
Let us recapitulate another scene in
this 'leela drama' that Divinity is unfolding for us to behold.
His Holiness Gayathri Swami, disciple of H. H. Narasimhabharathi
Swami, Sankaracharya of Sringeri Peetam, had first visited Shirdi
Sai, in the year 1906, and had thereafter been associated with Him
off and on. This side actor enters the stage at a point when he
visited Prasanthi Nilayam in 1966-67 and stayed on there, for a
few days. He narrated many an admirable and astonishing incidents
and occurrences that had happened at Shirdi.
This could well be compared with the
famous'Jodi Adipalli Somappa' and the ' Don't Shoot' miracle (already
described in Sai Prakash Series - (1) (Pages 10 to 14). The
details of his descriptions of the day to day episodes and events
at Shirdi, fitted in well, almost in approximate duplicity with
those being witnessed at Parthi, in most cases the happenings
could be superimposed. Whilst he was still there, Gayathri Swamiji
was blessed with a Divine vision of Shirdi Sai, in which Sainath
told him,"l have left the Samadhi after eight years therein and I
have brought away all my properties fifteen years later". The
following morning to his delight and ecstatic experience the
Swamiji, was told by the Parthi devotees that Sri Sathya Sai had
taken birth in the year 1926, that is eight years after the
Mahasamadhi (15th October, 1918 at Shirdi and that it was in the
fifteenth year of the sojourn in the present body, that Bhagavan
declared His reincarnation with all its attributes and sakthis (Properties).
In fact, here we may mention, that the Parthi Sai is an advanced
version of the prototype at Shirdi. The intense craving of
Gayathri Swami for an interview (so common a longing amongst the
devotees visiting Prasanthi Nilayam) seemed to be fulfilled to the
Swamiji's entire satisfaction, by this unique vision.
