Prashanthi Bullettin -
August 5th to 7th, 2005
August 7th, 2005
This Sunday morning, Bhagawan came to the Sai Kulwant Hall
at 8.20 and sat onstage after His darshan round. Vedam went
on with the Primary School children chanting with great
gusto. 20 minutes of listening to this, then Bhagawan went
inside the interview room. Bhajans began at 9 o'clock,
Bhagawan came to the Bhajan Hall around 9.15, a few minutes
later He took Arati and retired for the morning. In the
evening also, Swami sat onstage for a few minutes before
going into the interview room. Bhajans were at 5 pm and
Arati was at 5.30, but Bhagawan had gone to His abode at
5.20 pm.
August 6th, 2005
In the morning, after Bhajans, Bhagawan made a surprise
round of Puttaparthi at the unexpected hour of 9.45 am. In
the evening, He gave an interview for some devotees instead
of going on rounds in His car. And after that, He went into
the Bhajan Hall - it was only 4.15 pm or so. He asked the
USA group to sing Bhajans today. So, all of them trooped
into the Bhajan Hall with Swami watching all the while. The
ladies sang very well and led all the Bhajans, which were
the usual Sanskrit-Hindi Bhajans except for "Love is My
form..." Bhagawan listened to the Bhajans for nearly 50
minutes before taking Arati and retiring to the
Poornachandra.
August 5th, 2005
This morning, Bhagawan caught many people unawares by coming
to the Sai Kulwant Hall by 6.40 am! After a darshan round of
the Hall, He moved out and went on a round outside in the
car, after which He returned to the Poornachandra directly
before 8 o'clock.
The Economics Department of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of
Higher Learning is hosting an all-India conference on
'Modelling Economic Policy and Behaviour' from 6th to 8th
August. In the evening, Bhagawan blessed the senior
professors and students of the department who showed Him the
programme sheet and a card. Bhagawan had come to the Sai
Kulwant Hall, gone on a round outside and returned, going
inside the interview room.
At 3.50 pm, Swami came onstage, and the Vice Chancellor
announced that Bhagawan was giving an opportunity for some
of the students to present their ideas on the five human
values of Sathya Dharma Shanthi Prema and Ahimsa - Truth,
Righteous conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence. The first
talk was by Dr. Deepak Anand, who had completed his PhD in
the Management Department last year. He spoke on Sathya and
Dharma. The next talk was on Shanthi and Ahimsa, by Sai
Giridhar of the MSc class. The third talk was by Vishnu Bhan
of the 1st year MBA, and covered the topic of Prema. The
Vice Chancellor Sri Anil Vinayak Gokak concluded the
proceedings by making some connecting links between Prema
and Seva - selfless service - as enunciated by Bhagawan.
Bhajans were then sung for a few minutes, and Bhagawan went
back to His residence at 5.10 pm.
