The mood is absolutely upbeat with just one more day to go
for the dawn of the day all of us have been waiting for…
23rd November 2005, the Day privileged to usher the 80th
Year of the Advent of Bhagawan. Thousands of devotees have
already occupied the nook and corner of this township,
unmindful of inconveniences one could expect during such
festive gatherings, be it the chillness that is the climate
for the season in Puttaparthi, or the security restrictions
imposed upon, they yearn to have a glimpse of the Lord. One
could feel the pulse that every being present in this holy
Abode wants to be a part of this historic spiritual carnival
on Earth, that is unmatched by its spiritual stature.
True to Bhagawan’s famous adage, Service to Man is Service
to God, one could see thousands of Sevadal volunteers of Sri
Sathya Sai Organisations actively engaged in relentless
all-round service to make every bit of the celebrations a
grand success; be it the trolley-pushing young sevadals
transporting heavy luggage of devotees; young group of
sevadals offering drinking water with love to quench the
thirst; the doctors of paramedical staff rendering round the
clock medical service, security sevadals doing
crowd-control; sevadals who are manning various temporary
counters; sevadals who are the backbone of massive cooking
and serving, Selfless Service is the lone Mantra for this
highly motivated lot.
High gear preparation in the main venue of the function, at
the Hill View stadium got a real boost today with the
unexpected visit of Bhagawan to oversee the arrangements. To
the delight of hundreds of sevadals, technical staff and
students who were involved in various preparatory activities
Bhagawan came to the stadium at 11:05 a.m., drove straight
to the Shanti Vedika to have a look at the decorations on
the stage. Smiling face of the Lord was indeed a green
signal for all the elaborate preparations in progress at
this main venue. Bhagawan went back to His Divine Abode
after spending nearly ten minutes on the stage.
