The car in the moud
Once, a
devotee, after having stayed at Puttaparthi for sometime, wanted
to return home. Swami asked him to stay for another day and then
go. But the devotee and his people started without heeding to the
words of Swami. On the way, the driver, in the dark, drove
straight into a slushy ditch. The occupants of the car could not
get out of it, nor was there anyone around to lend a helping hand
to get the car out of the mud. There was no other alternative for
the occupants but to stay inside the car the whole night. Next
morning, when they saw some villagers passing by, they called out
to them for help and so, got the car out of the ditch. They
realized then alone that they had to suffer all these because they
had not listened to Swami. They retraced their steps to Swami to
atone for their disobedience and to beg for forgiveness. Swami
then sent them away with His Blessings.
